Weather plays an issue with the day as morning storms push games back. We got in our third game against the Schaumburg Flyers but our Game 4 against the Pickering Red Sox will actually now be our sixth game and be played tomorrow at 7:00 giving us three games tomorrow which will be a long day!!
Anyway, game 3 vs. the Schaumburg Flyers the Spartans get in the win column with a 13-2 pounding in 5 innings. Mike McBride pitched a gem going all 5 innings and hit a 3 run bomb as well as the Spartans score 13 runs on only 5 hits. (Lots of walks and wild pitches!!). Brad Kite had 2 hits knocking in 2 runs on each of the hits |

| Well, all good things must come to an end. We battled a very tough team from Orange County California called the O.C. Panthers to a 15-5 loss in 4 innings. They were the number 3 seed in the tournament and they looked it. Te boys represented the town and the organization extremely well though far exceeding my expectations. They all had so much fun and made memories that will certainly last a lifetime. |
